Hello everyone. Longtime lurker... finally decided to jump in.
I own a TA. I've had it nearly 40 years . Bought it when I was nineteen and drove the crap out of it till my early 30s. It's a miracle it and I survived the 1980s . Shockingly it still retains its original engine and drive train.
Color combo as optioned: Body - Plum crazy . Interior / Roof - White. Some say this a desirable color scheme . I say it's loud bordering on obnoxious , so much so immediately after purchase I did a complete interior switch over to black. And a year later the same was done to the top. Circa early 80s
Other notable "adjustments" : It has an overhead console. Thanks to an RT/SE that I came a across at a wrecking yard in Vancouver Washington in 1985.
Current condition : Full of scratches , dings , dents and stickers! That being said it sports a pristine dash as the car has always been garage kept since purchase.
Plans: None .Love it the way it is , including the tacky decals.
Welcome to the best E-Body web site in the world....you know we love pictures :takepicture:
Welcome, cool car. Glad you're leaving it as driven.
Welcome to this sight, cant wait to see some pics of your car. I am just a little north from you in Olympia.

Nice photo looks good to me
:handshake: Welcome to the site from Buffalo, NY. I'm always impressed when I hear about someone that's been able to hang on to their car as long as you have. I like the plan for your car, too. Enjoy it!
Welcome from Kennewick, Wa. Nice car.

:welcome: from central Oregon

Welcome to the group! I too live in Vancouver! Just down the road from you in Walnut Grove. Hope to run into you some time!
Hey, what wrecking yard in Vancouver did you find that RT/SE back in the day?
:welcome: From Riverside California
Wow!! You and our "founding father" and overall great guy Cody Reich are practically neighbors!! He's already given you an invitation ... so I'd be dropping by the "Mopar-Taj-Mahal" for a visit (or two). Word has it that you can see the bright lights and the top of the temple sticking up above the horizon from about 20 miles away.
Welcome! I noticed that your T/A has WA plates that most likely originated in Kitsap County, WA. Do you know any history of where it was purchased? My 70 Plum Crazy R/T SE was originally purchased in Bremerton, WA, Kitsap County.
Cool T/A!
welcome to the site from Ontario, :canada: and congrats on both keeping it and driving it the way you want to! As you said, be proud of those battle scars and cherish the memories of how and where they were made! :bigthumb:

Appreciate the kind words. The imperfections serve as reminders that I was once nineteen and invincible ...at least I thought I was . : )
Just joined myself. I'm across the river near Scappoose. 72 Rallye that I've had since 1983. Pretty much all original but has not been driven for years. Getting it back to road ready.
:welcome: @83copperhead You should start a tread of your self and tell us about you and your car. :handshake:
Another welcome from Ontario, Canada. I love that you're keeping the car the way it is. A true road warrior. Would love to see more pics.

[Thanks!]
Welcome from Ontario, Canada! Great car and great story too! Enjoy and drive the wheels off of it! It's got personality!
:welcome:
Seems odd to have two TAs from western Washington, both owned since late 70s/early 80s, show up on the board within a few weeks of each other.

Thank you! It was subjected to a lot of guilt free thrashing. I was fortunate to come of age during an era when these cars were viewed as throwaways.

Ha! Ha! We don't know each other. That being said , it does seem odd.
Lot of my formative years are tied to that car ...along with its dents ,scratches and tacky add-on . I'm glad you like my "leave it be " approach. : )
