Title: Power steering pump pressure
Post by: chal340 on April 05, 2017, 05:08:13 AM
I read on the bigblockdart site that there were different pressure for a same power steering pump if it was installed on a Challenger or Charger for example.
How was modified this pressure on a federal pump, by a smaller pulley or with a different pressure relief spring?

On the Saginaw pumps, the pressure is adjusted by the number of shims on the valve behind the pressure line fitting.  More shims equal less pressure.  I'm not sure how the Federal pumps work.
