Title: Windshield washer hose divider (hood)
Post by: Racer57 on June 01, 2023, 08:14:48 PM
Mine appears to be plugged. Fluid comes out of hose, but neither squitter and I want to try to clear it. Can it be removed from hood without breaking it ? Its only 3 or 4 years old and the old one I didn't try to save and did break.

That last time I cleared mine I just used a needle.

Did you remove it from the hood without breaking it ?

Torch tip cleaners are imperative to have around. Here's just one on Amazon. I think Harbor Freight has them too.

Not sure what exactly you are referring to. But I removed mine when I painted the hood and I didn't break anything. I don't recall how I removed it, so it must have been pretty straight forward. I thought it was held in place with screws.

I did not remove mine.  That torch tool looks good though.  I'd use that if I had to do it again.

It just snaps in, you should be able to get in there from the back of the hood with a needlenose and squeeze the retainer ends together and remove it.
