Title: Heat shields
Post by: Shoooter on March 04, 2019, 09:52:35 PM
My original heat shields need attention as there looking old, so I started looking into a new set ( or can they be saved, sand blasted and re coated?) and there is a bunch of different colours or materiel.  Galvanised,  painted or coated. what ones are correct? Thanks

I use the AMD ones, they're a nice silver coated colour.

They were originally galvanized.  If your car came with full undercoating, the shields would have been undercoated.  They were installed before the undercoating was applied.

My car unfortunately is a undercoated car. There is a light dusting on the originals,  might have to go that way
