Title: '73 Cuda Bendix style booster & linkage issue
Post by: sky72 on March 02, 2024, 01:00:30 PM
dear members, I'd need some advice on this one...
I purchased this bendix style booster for my '73 Cuda 340 with power brakes.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/145183835603

The bolt pattern through the firewal is different to the original but the other existing lower holes lined up.
My Problem now, the linkage to the brake padel is about ~1/2" too long and can't be mounted!? :headbang:

What am I missing here?? I'd really appreciate your help!

The booster you bought is designed to have off-set brackets with the linkage on the outside of the car. It's correct for B Bodies but not even close for an E Body...you could shorten the rod maybe and make it work :dunno:
