Title: New "OLD" car
Post by: CudaMoparRay on September 01, 2019, 12:15:03 AM
Happy to say that I finally bought a 1972 'Cuda 340 and it is immaculate (at least to me)  :haha: So I'm back in the game as they say.
So far it drives like new and everything works as it should even the clock  :haha:

Nice looking car. Is the blackout on the top of the fenders and hood a factory option? I have seen that on other Cuda's before.

Yes: Rare option in 72, Not sure if it was available in 73 or not. It looks great with a high impact color obviously.

You are a lucky person that you found such a car. I wonder how it is such in perfect condition. It seems that the previous owners of this car loved it a lot. This s my dream to have an old muscle car, like this. I have always wanted a Chevrolet Impala, but it is hard to find one that is in good condition. I had an old Ford Mustang of the second generation, and I wasn't able to renovate it and make it look perfect, IT was too expensive for me, and also the insurance was incredibly expensive. This is why I decided to sell it for scrap and not create myself problems.

The latest updates:
1. Front spoilers added T/A style I have always liked.
2. Rear T/A duck tail spoiler added to complement front spoilers.
3. Re-installed Original OEM Air Filter took off Custom 6 Pack type Filter Housing. Prior owner liked and wanted it to look like a Six-Pack.
4. OEM steering wheel replaced with Wooden. Added a few custom touches like Chrome trim on spokes and Rimblow center horn piece.
5. Last but not least, Ricks Pistol Grip Shifter. IMO the most like the original in looks and correct angle.

For future updates was thinking of adding Grand Coupe wood and chrome inside door and rear panel trim to match interior but still not sure about that.
Was also thinking of adding Grand Coupe overhead console but that also remains in limbo.

I have thought of selling it sometimes but then change my mind because I know it will be sorely missed.
