Price is not out of line, but it is a Barracuda.  For not much more money I would think you could get a real Cuda.  Like the one @nsmall (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/nsmall_145)  has for sale.

Barracuda vs Cuda.   

I've seen them both optioned with the same engines and transmissions excluding AAR.   

What's the big deal BS vs BN?

Cuda would be the performance engines, suspension and options.  Barracuda would be the base model.  But you are right that you could get some of the same engines.  No Barracudas with Hemi's, or Six Packs, but you could get a 383 in both.  Some 383's were rated with different HP's.  Both have some cool and rare options, but the money tends to follow the Cuda's.

"340" decals make the car .3 seconds faster. Everyone knows that, right?
