Title: clutch fork for big block vs small block
Post by: GoMangoBoys on January 12, 2020, 12:50:52 PM
I have a chance to get a very good deal on the clutch fork hardware from a 70 Challenger with the 340 small block.  I have the 383 big block.  I actually bought a bell housing that appears to be for a B body.  It is the 2892626.  I am told this will work if I use the right flywheel.  Can anyone tell me if the clutch fork etc from the small block will work for this?
I am also considering trying to just come up with the correct bell housing for our 70 Challenger instead of using this one.
Thanks

If that is the cast iron bell housing, you will need the 143 tooth flywheel.  The clutch fork should work. Verify it on the Brewers website. That is what I used on mine.  A little heavier but it works.
