Title: Light bulb socket for 1970 Challenger Front side
Post by: madmax2b on July 12, 2020, 07:36:15 AM
Is it possible to just by new light bulb sockets for the 1970-71 Dodge Challenger Side marker lights? The only thing I'm finding is complete inner assemblies for $135. I would like to have them be more like modern twist out bulbs.

They are swedged into the housing so being creative you should be able to replace them with a different socket . Better yet would be modern push in bulbs that do not twist in at all !

Hey Mods, shouldn't this thread be in another category like "Electrical & Audio" maybe.

I think you can get a replacement pigtail w/bulb socket from Mike Ross.  He'll probably even install it in your sidemarker housing if you ask him.

Mike did mine for me and they turned out great.
As mentioned these are pressed in and I wouldn't have been able to do it.
Mike didn't charge a penny and a stand up guy.
