Title: Gen III Hemi Electronics question ?
Post by: anlauto on January 12, 2021, 05:51:57 PM
My customer wants a "kill Switch" installed. Two basic reasons...in case of any type long term battery drain while parked, and of course theft protection.

Question is: Will disconnecting the battery often have any effect on the engines electronics or the Dakota Dash's electronics ?

If you are using the factory computer all that happens when you disconnect the battery is that the computer goes through a reset. Clears codes and personal driving settings. Have to drive it again to relearn your driving habits.  Not any problem. And that includes the clock.
