How should the rotating panel dimmer switch function on a 71 Challenger dash with standard instrument cluster?
The dome light comes on when I turn it all the way counterclockwise and feel the click. The dash lights etc all go off completely when the switch is in that position. As I rotate it clockwise (out of the detent) the dash lights etc all come on full bright then dim gradually as I continuing rotating the switch clockwise.
Is that all correct?
I believe that's how mine works, but I got to say, I haven't touched mine in years. I'll check today if I get all this snow cleared up before work tonight.
Sounds right to me.
