Title: Scoop Gaskets?
Post by: Wedg2Go on June 26, 2017, 12:47:11 PM
I hope I can describe this right. Under each scoop, on the power bulge hood, is a gasket that follows the outer perimeter of the scoop. Mine are starting to peek out from the edges after taking it out for a little father day cruise. I have taken off one scoop and found that the gasket is still too close to the edge of the scoop. Am I missing something here or do I need to apply something to the gasket to make it stick to the scoop (wet the gasket maybe)? I know this is so simplistic but I just want to be cautious here.

Ah! Why didn't I think of that? I should know repop parts are always a little oversized.

All this thin air in the mountain can sometimes be too much for me.

Thanks!
