How do you know the first four numbers ?

If you track enough vins to know which batches belong to each model throughout the year, you can predict pretty confidently which car chassis that sequence belongs to.

I don't know how he can tell its a 'BS' instead of a 'BH' or a '23' instead of '27' though.

I'm just guessing, trying to get a reply from Chryco.

who looks for Bh or bp cars?  Doesn't everyone want a BS Cuda?

I'm guessing he likely has a  4 speed transmission or something...not much to go on with one of them  :dunno:
