Title: 30% Year One ?
Post by: anlauto on May 21, 2019, 05:43:34 AM
I have a customer looking for Year One's 30% off Memorial Day discount....Is there going to be such a thing ? Anybody ?

I haven't seen anything on a Memorial Day sale yet.  They just had a 25% off two-day.  But as usual, anything I am interested in is "discount exempt".  I don't even bother looking anymore.

And the shipping charges from all these companies wipes out any discount they give you. And now E Bay is charging tax! Too bad Mopar Carlisle is only once a year.

I stopped using Year One once other companies started offering similar goods. The shipping they charged was absolutely outrageous and before there was much competition, they were happy to gouge away knowing you had few options. That is one company I will never give money to again.

It's all good as long as you can wait One Year for the parts to be shipped separately to you.

:haha: :haha: :haha:  I ONLY use them for M&H wire harnesses and when you can save 30% or almost $300 that's good news for me. and @1ownr (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/1ownr_329)

Me too, Alan. Trying to get as many needed parts on hand as possible so there's no reason to stop moving forward. But I have plenty to do before Christmas.

@JS29 (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/js29_195) and @anlauto (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/anlauto_19) I'm a little unsure. I've learned that M & H is the absolute best and I'll definitely be going with them for every harness, but I wasn't seeing that brand name jump out at me from the Y1 site.
Also...I plan to go 100% stock with this restoration, although I'm seeing they're offering a harness that provides extra wiring for electronic ignition. Should a guy get that so he'd have future options?

@Jocigar (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/jocigar_797)  Go to www.yearone.com, These vary from year and engine variables. so you will need to look up your specific part numbers. M@H are the best on the market! use the code DN1237 and get the discount.  :alan2cents:                                                                                                                                                      Mark.

I believe YearOne only sells M&H, so you're okay there. I would only get the modified engine harness if you plan to run a Chrysler electronic ignition at some point. I like to get the standard points harness and just modify it myself because I usually put the module inside the car :alan2cents:

Year One owns all the tooling that M & H uses for the plugs to make the MOPAR wires and has an exclusive with them, you can't buy direct for MOPAR wiring.

I sure hope it's M & H, because I didn't see the brand on any of it and just ordered $1200 worth last night.

Rest assured the wiring you bought from YearOne will be M&H wiring. :alan2cents:
