Title: JH V-Code
Post by: 71GranCoupe on April 10, 2017, 04:15:34 PM
Not sure how long this will be posted until pulled/sold, but there is supposedly a JH V code car, even has a dash VIN posted, wonder what Dan and others have to say about this.

Possibly, I was out of the loop for a couple days while in California.

Why JH?  All V-Codes were supposed to be JS.  Would LOVE to see the fender tag.  Doubt there is a Build Sheet.

Spoke to him on the phone and he is sending me a photo of the fender tag, interior and engine bay.  He said it's got A53 on the tag and a Q for a VON number.

Q=Public Relations or Chrysler Executive/Lease Car

Might get interesting

Hmm: I know what I'm thinking but it will be fun to see the tag.

I hear ya Sheldon. As we know, the rules of MOPAR does not always hold up with Chrysler Exec ordered cars.

I've seen the fender tag pic, but can't find it right now - but "FAKE" with plenty of ERRORs almost to the point of being comical - it was on eBay a number of years ago.

Yes that car has been discussed before. It surfaces every few years. It was definately on ebay in the past. I think everyone that chimed in agreed it wasn't legit in the past.

It will be interesting to see what Dan has to add to this. I am still thinking  when there is a Q for a VON prefix, may have trumped all the "normal" rules. If that is the case, I wouldn't mind owning that one, but all my apples are in another basket for now.  :headbang:

Here's what Dan posted above.....

"I've seen the fender tag pic, but can't find it right now - but "FAKE" with plenty of ERRORs almost to the point of being comical - it was on eBay a number of years ago"

:stop: No need to bang your head against a brick wall.... You might hurt yourself..  :haha:

I remember this car from years ago before it was (using the term loosely here) "restored".  It didn't have torque boxes and I don't even think it was a 4 speed.   :haha:  At least they had fun with the car and making the tag.  What's Y08?  And why would someone put "Special Paint" on a stock color?

I'm going to have to agree with Dan.   That's VERY fake!  :haha:

Well, since Galen is asking for it, I guess one of us should send him this fender tag as "proof".   :D
