The HUGE Portland Auto Swap Meet. April 6th through the 9th. This is really two large events at one time. The Portland International Raceway Swap Meet starts to set up on April 5th and opens April 6th and goes through the 8th.

At the same time the Convention Center Swap Meet is going on too. It sets up April 6th and opens April 7th and goes through the 9th.

They sell out each year and it's hard to explain just how big this is. The track is over 2 miles long and has swap meet booths on each side. The Convention Center has another 3,500 booths and takes up 4 buildings and all the outside parking. There's always some Mopar and E-Body stuff, but there's a lot of the other brands too. I'll be posting daily from there and hope to see some of you down there.

I would guess around 5,000 booths and maybe around 50,000 people? It really starts on Wed as all the vendors get set up and opens to the public on Thursday. The last day is Sunday.
It takes about a 3 miles walk to see all the vendors at the Race track and probably a longer walk at the Expo Center because they have them set up in isles. The track has booths all the way around the outside of the track and inside. The booths sell out fast. We buy our 1 year in advance. I'll be at the end of the straightaway along the outside of the track. :ohyeah:

Wow! That's huge! I guess if you see something you might want, you better get it cause you'll never find the same place again or will have to walk a mile to get it.

Take a closer look at the 71 fender. Someone put gills in a Challenger fender.
I haven't bought much this year, but I've seen lots of good deals.

If you scrolled through Cody's pictures quickly, you may have missed this one... Our Mopar friend from Montana, Ron, was selling these seats today & Cody asked if he checked for the build sheets yet. Since he hadn't, they grab a Philips & go to work. No build sheet though... :-[ Do others of you do that??

Like most swap meets, price range from dreaming to giving it away. I've did okay this year. Was more focused on telling people about out great site, but the winds / rains came in so I had to put the tee shirts away. Hope it clears up so I can get set back up.
That's the GYC '71 Cuda with a 392 Hemi they built for SEMA. Was it for sale?
Did not see a for sale sign or anything so I'm guessing it was a display.

I was tempted with a lot of those parts.... But space, money and asking myself if I really needed it stopped my. I did find a few more items on day 3.
Damn! Thats a nice swap meet, wish I've been there. I saw my stuff! a833 for 400 bucks, heaterbox, nice grille....
I was a Pomona swap meet, CA in November, no Mopar parts at all there.

Made it home last night. Overall another fun Portland Swap meet. :banana: This year was one of the wettest and windiest I can ever remember. On the last day I found two 440 Blocks, a 440 & Hemi Bellhousing plus a 1970 23 spline 4 speed. One of the 440 blocks is a Service Engine with a blank VIN pad! :veryexcited: The first time I've ever seen one of those. Had to pay more then what I thought was fair, but I can use it so I stepped up and got it.

I was pretty picky this year. But did get all 4 lower panels , pillar panels, kick panels, glove box liner and misc small parts for 1971 Satellite/Road runner. Panels were beautiful, unscratched. Just dirty.
