Title: WIW - 70 Cuda Fish Gill Rockers
Post by: Floyd on October 07, 2018, 08:26:35 AM
What's the going rate for a set of original rocker gills? One has a chip at the leading edge but otherwise pretty nice. No cracks but will need re-paint. Part numbers visible on underside. They appear to made from a similar composite as used on shaker bubbles.

How do the repros compare?

Thanks!

That "chip" is pretty significant, but I would still seem to think they are $200-$300

I've used some real nice reproductions and also some real crappy reproductions....so I don't really know, been awhile since I had to buy some.

Thanks Alan - much appreciated!  I wonder if I am correct on the type of material used?  It would be interesting to see how people make good repairs on this kind of thing.  I've seen many a shaker scoop with missing chunks.  I'm guessing there is a repair technique that gives good results.

yes, originals are the same material as SHAKERs & most other side/hood scoops
