Want to be appalled/intrigued/disgusted? Go to San Francisco craigslist to cars/trucks and search 1972 Dodge Challenger 4x4. This beast is in San Jose North. Thoughts?

I am not a buyer but it does look well done and isn't a rusty POS like these usually are.  I'd drive it.

There is an ass for every seat and there is the seat.  I have seen many of these type of conversions but most were redneck types; this one has some class.  Made from good bones.

I agree with Alan. It does seem to be put together pretty well. around my area I've seen a ton of that stuff (home-made 4X4's), but usually just cobbled together crap. Can't say I'd want one tho

And when people think of New York they think it's all city! BTW about two or so hours east of San Diego, up in the mountains one can find snow.

Am I the only purist who gets grossed out on these resto-mods? I don't even like it when different rims are put onto a classic.

Nicest looking 'up in the sky' 4x4 I've seen yet.  :bigthumb:

My neighbour made up a similar type vehicle a number of years ago. He did his with a cordoba. His had hideaway headlights, A/C and 'rich, corinthian leather'.

I think those things look about as stupid as it gets. The bad thing is that if I had $30k to buy it so I could take it home and fix it I wouldn't want to reward him with the $30k.

I got to admit...I think it looks pretty sweet!  It looks well built and like said not a cobbled up piece of junk.  Not exactly on my bucket list, but if i had money to burn and 100 acres of foothills or beach nearby I could see a lot of with with it!
