I ordered a case of WIX 51515 filters and a case of 51085 filters from Amazon, at a great price, and they are both made in the USA. For you Canadian guys, that was Amazon.com not Amazon.ca.

I will try that tomorrow and see if it works. I don't think there is an adjustment, so I may just remove the latch to see what's going on.

That does seem to be a bit of a puzzler. I looked at my passenger's side door latch, and one idea that comes to mind is checking the latch without closing the door. Meaning, with the door open, are you able to depress the latch manually and then, using the interior handle, "open" or trigger the mechanism? That will really tell you whether the handle doesn't work or if there's an issue with either the rod or something in the latch.

Also, you could take off the handle from the inside and try and use the rod to trigger/unlatch to door.

I don't know of anyone who sells aftermarket latches.

The 440 assembly was prepped and sprayed with red oxide epoxy primer. HEMI orange was sprayed then clear coated. Did some further assembly but there are still some items that still need to be added as the assembly goes along. Plug wires, spark plugs, heat shields and such.

Prepped and primed the HEMI valve covers with epoxy primer. I applied three heavy coats of VHT Wrinkle Finish paint. Each application was applied in a different direction. Horizontal, vertical and diagonal with a five-minute flash. After a few hours or so the wrinkle finish appeared. The finish developed a nice even pattern and after a few days of curing the wrinkles tightened. Assembled to the engine.

The 1971 Cuda was finished up and taken to another shop to have the engine/trans reinstalled, front end rebuilt, rear suspension put back to stock and to remove those nasty wheels and tires to be replace by stock tires/rallye's.

This 1970 Cuda was found in Miami,Ok. It was stored in a shop after the front end was wiped out by the second owner. The Cuda has been sitting since 1985. The fender tags mysteriously disappeared after a third party be-friended the owner. 440/auto. It'll be a while before it heads my way.

The FC7 AAR BS23J0B296092 which sold for $148,500 on 5/17/2024 at MECUM INDY has its own issues. Restamped engine and transmission with claim of numbers matching drivetrain" emblazoned across the windshield.

The restamped engine and transmission are discussed on Moparts.com HERE.

Exceptionally nice car but now tainted by the "matching numbers" claim.

Also discussed on the other BS23J0B296092 thread discussing the engine and transmission VIN font being suspect due to incorrect font.

I'm not familiar with the lokar setup.
I have heard of people using it as a popular alternative when doing swaps. Probably worthwhile to check the throttle linkage and the mechanical connections first.

For what it is worth, here is the setup I made up using my stock linkage, some 340 parts, and 2 parts from Holley. See post #57.

So the FM3 AAR Cuda BS23J0B308420 did not sell at $130k and moved to "The Bid Goes On". Car looks great even with the added Louvers which did not come on non-black vinyl top cars. The VIN issues do not help in selling a car like this.

I would surmise that the buyer of the FJ6 BS27H1B206291 Cuda convertible believed what the Mecum site parroted in the write-up about this being a Shaker-Billboard car when it is not.
When they find out, they will likely flip the car again on Mecum as we see so many do after discovering their purchase was not what it seemed to be.
