Title: Voltage Regulator Bracket
Post by: Daveh on January 28, 2019, 06:27:00 PM
Hi Guys,

Is the voltage regulator bracket grounded.  I would like to put a little insulation on the back to limit scratching the paint.  Thanks

That is the ECU not the VR but yes they need to ground at least through the screws

the correct bolts would have washers with barbs on the washer to bite through the paint

Doesn't appear to be a factory bracket.  At least the one i had supported the entire back of the ecu. The ecu did not overhang.

I'm not certain if it's stock or not it came with the car.

My '73 bracket was the same height as the ECU. It's on Shadango's 'cuda now. (cc.c member)
