I have a 68 Cuda very clean interior. Dont know to much about it. Has a 318 in it. One rust spot on drivers side fender. Was wondering if anyone could give me a range of what it's worth
:welcome: to the site . lots of help here . i don't know the value but i like 68 cuda :bradsthumb:
I like them as well. $1k-$8k based on the info provided.
Do you have any more photos? Can you tell us more about the history of the car?
A solid body has value but as the guys said, need more info. I have a fully restored '69 fastback, 340 4-speed, that I insure for $18,000. You may want to check out the 67-69 Barracuda Owners Group (yahoo group and facebook), or the a-bodies only website. Lots of a-body cuda info available there.
Will it be up for sale? A lot of us in here like those cars. Especially if it's a rust free car.

:iagree: :iagree:
What part of the country? Shipping costs can be a real deal killer on a lower priced car.
Easily $10K-$12K unless the entire underside is rusted from sitting :dunno:
In my opinion, it's more a matter of can it run than if it actually does. I've bought plenty of cars in my life that ran but later turned out to need a complete engine rebuild anyway due to extreme use or very high miles. I've also bought cars that had lower miles but hadn't run in a while. Those are not hard to clean up and get running nice again. I'll take a low mileage non running engine any day over the high mileage running one.
But if you can get your low mileage engine to run nicely, it might be worth it. Even if it doesn't get you more money, it will sell faster.
Running car=more money
Maybe wait for warmer weather and get the car cleaned up, running, and some better pictures, including pics of the under side and frame, wheel wells, trunk, engine bay, and better interior pics. Nice ride

Would love to take it off my grandfather but dont have money to. He wants it gone. Can definately get, more pics this, weekend and post them for everyone to see
if you have some pics of the fendertag or build sheet it will be a plus
:thankyou:
Are you sure it's a 318 car ?
Love these, I've been looking for a notchback shell that I can slap my 318 and 3speed in and turn into a gasser. I'm nearby in NJ, if it's not rotted out it'll be a good find in this area. My concern would be the underside, how long has it been sitting in that grassy location?
If it were my grandfather, and he had it for all those years I would never let it leave my families hands.
My thought is that you should work something out with your grandfather for you to keep the car.
I understand that life can deal you a poor hand sometimes and the funds might be needed. But having
your own families car is priceless. You can't go buy another one that was your families possession.
Keep it.
His Grandfather must not like him otherwise he would have given him the car years ago... :haha: :haha: :haha:
I'm just kidding....I'm sure he loves you.....almost as much as he loves his car... :D
I would say probably 5k - 10k if the rust is minimal. Post the VIN number and check for rust in the frame rails.
Sell it to Mark Worman so that he can put the Helliphant engine in it instead of putting it in Christine.
Left side exhaust pipe, not sure I am seeing the seams between the quarters and the rear valance....
Tell him it's junk, not worth anything. Then you can buy it and keep it in the family. White lie to keep it in the family can't be too bad of a thing right?? Just don't turn around and flip it on him! I wouldn't let that go if it has family history. My uncle has a hot rod that I've been around for 20 years, if that ever goes for sale, I'm figuring out a way to buy it. It will never leave the family :alan2cents:
