After seeing the lack of aftermarket performance support for the SB Mopar engines (which is sad), I'm planning on a 440 stroker (*possibly* aluminum block?) for my future resto-mod Challenger (I'm planning on also buying a new Challenger so I don't want a gen 3 Hemi for the old car as well). But, I want the reliability and performance of electronic fuel injection. I'm really looking for something that's plug-and-play, so does anyone here have experience with the Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 or Pro Flo 4 XT systems? Will they manage to clear an E-Body hood with a big block?
There a number of EFI suppliers with a variety of products now , I have not used Eddy EFI but it is Not the first company I would look at Holley , FiTech seems to have good products
The first thing you really want to sort out is if you want Throttle body [Wet intake] or Multiport [dry intake]
I far prefer Multiport as the fuel cannot drop out of the airflow between the throttel body & the cylinder head , alos you can use a far shorter throttle body with multiport for better hood clearance & larger air cleaner .
The big problem is Cost T body start at around $1k , multiport will be at least 3x times that

I'm definitely more interested in multi-port.
Would it be possible to buy most of the pieces of the Pro Flo system separately but use a separate controller like an MS3? Or do the two systems require different sensor inputs?
I built my own system for a customer Car , used an SDSEFI controller system / aircraft rated , works awesome comes with a tuner pad so no laptop is needed & you can tune while driving r at least the passenger can !! Everything was tunable in 250 rpm increments.
Then I used an Accufab T body , Bosch 75lb / hr injectors , Victor predrilled intake & rails , MSD pressure reg , bent my own fuel lines , 1 3/8 line with a Walbro pump to each fuel rail & a single 3/8 return , I could have used 4 coil packs but instead I used a single coil with 4 magnets drilled into the damper & a crank trigger
Check out Redmist on the Dodge Charger site. He showed his build progress with a 440 and ProFlo with MS. I modded a 383 intake for multi port and use MS. Works great but there is a learning curve.
