Title: New guy from CA!
Post by: anguilla1980 on January 05, 2017, 06:18:40 PM
Hey everyone! I'm a member over on CC and thought I would join up here!

My name's Alex, I live in CA. I'm currently on the search for a rust free '72-'74 'cuda roller with complete interior as a car for my teenage son. I'm looking at the $7K range I think for as good of a body as I can with a complete interior (NOT white!) hopefully. I only have half that saved right now tho so it will be a few months until I pull the trigger.

We are hoping to have it driving in time for his high school graduation in June of 2018, he's a junior right now. He just wants to keep it in primer like my 69 Firebird and have some fun with it. I'm thinking a 318 or 340 with an auto to start him out with. This car in addition to mine is his inspiration for the project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oghaMwMT7T8

I'm willing to go anywhere to find it, not just CA.

Thanks everyone!

Yep, agreed I found the one I currently have from Florida.

I don't think it's the best place to find em and don't ask me how I know.

Welcome from CO!  I love that Cuda, nothing fancy just pure muscle!

Try looking on the Mopar swap and for sale pages on FB.  There are some decent projects out there.

What part of California are you at?

The part that gives water?  N. CA
The part that gets the water?  S. CA

Bakersfield is about 100 miles north of downtown LA. Just north of the grapvine on the 99. Also about 2hrs south of Fresno.
