Post by: edison1970 on June 18, 2019, 07:34:15 PM
When install carpet, does the carpet go under the mounting bracket for the gas pedal or is it cut around it?

I cut slots & feed the carpet under the pivot over the pedal bracket

Boy they sure weren't neat about anything when they built these cars!

Yes: And pretty much every car that came down the line was unlike all the other ones that came down the line too. So a lot of the self appointed rulers of the Mopar hobby aren't right in every instance like they think they are.

Thanks for the photos. I just put new carpet in my RT and I was annoyed that it didn't come with the headlight switch grommet. Now I know why.

I installed mine the same way Chryco suggests above around the gas pedal assembly, however I did add a grommet around the floor mounted switch.
