Working on this 73 Cuda I'm finding so many wrong parts on this. After finding out the horns won't mount because it had a 71 header panel I bought a new AMD 73 header panel and just discovered the hood support latch bracket doesn't fit that! Looking on E bay I see a few listed and they all say 70-74 and some look different from each other. Is everything different year to year? This is probably why most people build chevys! Thank God Carlisle is coming up! I don't mind a challenge but this is getting ridiculous. LOL
I was under the impression all the Cuda years were the same ? Maybe a Challenger is different ?

Forgot to do that. The header has an 8-3/4 bolt spacing and the one I have is 10" and it won't even drop down on the header also. ( I took all the pictures at the same time a get a different color each time! )

I have one that I am pretty sure is from a '73 - '74 Challenger?
It does appear to be slightly different than yours . . .
Get out the tin snips and trim the header.... :dunno:
My 73 has 8-3/4" spacing on the holes (the inner two), but has a pair of outer holes as well...
The threaded clip-nuts on mine are on the front sheet metal, not on the bracket... it just sits down on top and bolts thread into the clip-nuts below.
I know I can make it fit, just would like to put the correct one on. That yellow one looks right. You would think AMD would get it right if all the latch supports were the same.
