hello all,
would like some suggestions on ordering manuals. have a 73 challenger originally a 318 car and the restorer replaced with a 360.
should i get the oem 73 repair manual or '74?
thanks
If you have a '73, I would get the '73 manuals.

hi Claudia, so it doesnt matter that its not the factory 318?, do not believe the 360 was offered in 73. i ordered a part one time from AutoZone and it wouldnt go thru unless i submitted 1974 with a 360.
the '73 manual will cover the specifics of your '73 Challenger
it will also have 360 info even though it wasn't available in Challenger, it was available in c-bodies in 1973
sorry for being naive, haven't worked on cars since 1978, this shop manual has all components for tune-ups, suspension, etc?
it will cover every aspect of rebuilding & tuning all components
thanks all

As mentioned, it does not matter . . . the FSM's will cover everything.
:thankyou:
Wiring diagram is one of the most important parts of the book and you want that to be for the actual year of car IMO.
I agree , a lot is the same year to year but wiring changed every year
You can download the 1973 manuals for free here:

Note that there are two manuals for 73, one for the body and one for the chassis. The chassis manual includes all the drivetrain and mechanicals.
