Title: GEN III EGR test plate tip
Post by: Blake@diyhemi.com on March 31, 2017, 08:04:52 AM
Ok so I know the EPA has cracked down on some vendors selling the EGR block off plates that several companies have produced over the years.

But what many do not know is that Chrysler had such kits on factory 2500 HD Rams as they fell out of government guidelines established by GVWR.

That's right, factory Mopar OEM EGR blocks and plugs for the intake manifold! For those trucks it was perfectly legal in the eyes of emissions rules.

Use this information as you will for your own testing purposes (hint hint)

Cylinder head EGR block plate
53032739AA

Intake manifold plug
04891312AA

There are also part numbers for the retention clip and o-ring if you need those

Yep, mine came with a blockoff plate. I have a car intake however and ended up 3D printing a plug for it. We'll see if it works.
