Title: Heater Hose Fitting
Post by: Gary AAR on September 01, 2019, 09:44:28 AM
Looking for a reasonably correct heater hose fitting that threads into the 340 six pack intake manifold on my 1970 AAR Cuda.  I believe the fitting should be a straight fitting with 3/8 NPT male thread and 1/2 inch hose bead.  Does the attached photo look like a correct reproduction part?  The part in the photo is a Summit Racing part number 84712.  The Summit part description says the part is "steel" with a "natural finish".  Would the original Chrysler fitting been an unfinished part?  Would like to find one that is plated for some level of corrosion protection.  Anybody know of a good source for this part?
Thanks for the help.
