Title: Hemi Master Cylinder
Post by: JH27N0B on April 01, 2017, 06:22:40 PM
I have an NOS 70-71 Hemi E and B body disc brake master cylinder for sale. 2229191 Casting number.
Has an early '73 date code.
These are hemi car only parts and are super rare. Many top hemi cars I see have the wrong part installed.  Can't be too many out there left that aren't already installed on cars, so if you need one, don't miss out on the chance to buy one!
$950
Will consider restorable core MC 2229171 or NOS '9171  as partial trade for this part.
Message me here or brads 147 at comcast dot net
Sold, on it's way to going on a hemi cuda.  Thanks e-bodies.org!  :thankyou:

Can you post a pic of the cap?  Somewhere around 73 is when they went away from the lettering on it.

Thanks

There's no stamped information is its lid. The J1703 info isn't seen after early 72 datecodes on the 9191 and 9171 master cylinders.
I'm interested in knowing if the J1703 info was ever stamped into the lids of the new style disc brake master cylinder that came out for A, B and C bodies in 71.
Whatever the case, Resto Rick can stamp the J1703 brake fluid info into master cylinder caps.
