I was wondering if we were going to have a 2020 calendar? I absolutely loved my 2018 calendar and is still the only calendar hanging up in my shop.
While going through all the work of a calendar, printing it off, shipping it etc is totally out of my wheelhouse, I am willing to step up and do it.
I would think I would need some permission from
@Cuda Cody (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/cuda-cody_1) Not looking to make any money or profit at all. Anyways just throwing out a few ideas. Unless of course someone else wants to step up and do it.
Don't forget, the 1970 year might get a little preferential treatment because of the 50 year anniversary.
I'd be interested as well...

Happy to pay for one also
I really loved the way the 2018 calendars turned out. The issue for 2019 and what will also most likely be the issue for 2020 is time it takes to do it and the cost. We have a small budget to work with each year and we thought it would be best to focus our resources toward having a party / event at the 2020 Carlisle show. If we re-direct those funds towards a calendar (which we can do if that's what everyone wants), we still need to find someone to make them and take the time to ship each calendar. It's a lot to take on so anyone that is going to do it has to know up front that it's not just a couple hours of work. It takes days to put something like this together and track all the orders.
I would just be happy to pay for a calendar & save the cost to the site , I will buy a calendar from somewhere anyway :alan2cents:

I agree! We can pay for Calenders... Spend the money at Carlisle.... Or piss the East coast guys off & spend it at Spring Fling!!! :haha:
Aside from the time of shipping and tracking car pictures and deciding which pictures to put in it what is the dollar value of getting the calendars printed? Approximate of course.
I too would be willing to pay for a calendar no problem :takemymoney:
I believe they could be mailed under media USPS cheapest shipping Don't know for sure but worth investigating
I be willing to pay for one also.
I know it's a lot of work and costs a bit of money to do a calendar.
If there's anything I can help with also I'm in. A group effort would be nice. :grouphug:
I'm going to let this thread marinate for a few days, and see what shakes out. Can't wait to long, I guess if the calendars are to start shipping around the middle of November.
As I start doing some research on calendars, the prices are all over the place. Depending on size, type of paper, matte or gloss, the price changes dramatically. Anywhere from $5 to over $20 per. That is of course in my funny loonie money up here in Canada.
I also know that I should not have any input on photo selection. I lean way to far to the modified pro touring e-bodies
I am in, I would be willing to buy at least 2.
I'm in. love my 2018, sad we didn't do a 2019, would love a 2020 on the 50th anniversary! :alan2cents:
I like the idea of 1970 only E Bodies for the 50th anniversary ....you could do everything from project cars to show poodles :alan2cents:
Having some experience with the calendars in the past with cuda-challenger, it takes a lot of work to get to the finished product. First you will need to set up entires and a poll and someone to head that part. Next comes the layout and printing and then the shipping. So if you are looking to have these shipped in November, you will need to start gathering images now with a deadline.

Always love the cuda-challenger/E-bodies calendars and in to buy at least one maybe two.
I am in-even though I sold my car.

I would definitely buy one!
It would be cool to have a special theme for 2020; possibly the 50th anniversary edition of our e-bodies?
Anyway, a good year for a Challenger Cuda calendar. :perfect10:
I'm in, too. I would definitely pay for them. The 2018 calendar was awesome. :takemymoney: :takemymoney: :takemymoney:  :drinkingbud:
Sounds like we just need someone to champion this idea with taking control of gathering photos and getting quotes.
I don’t have any issues gathering the photos and setting up the poll . . Just need some advice on requirements as too how large the photos need to be for production . .
I will then send the photos to who ever will take over from there . . .
This E-Bodies website is awesome! Looks like a pretty good plan is forming with all you guys offering to step up and help make this calendar happen.
I think the tough part is finding someone with the software, skill, and available time to do the layout to send to the printer? :dunno:
Mark me down for one
I think selling them is not an issue. They have always been popular! I'd assume it's a lot of work to do , especially in a short period of time is more the issue?
The interest is there, it's the leg work that is needed. Shoot, I'll buy a couple if someone does the leg work to make it happen. The time needed to collect good photos, get bids and ship them out is the hard part.
Well someone needs to start a thread to collect photos... I almost just did & was gonna post a link here but then I realized I have no idea how big a file would be needed or any other technical stuff... I'm good at car questions not Calendar questions so I'm stepping aside.... But step one is someone who knows what is needed stepping up and collecting photos... So by 0800 Tomorrow we need a Calendar photo thread.... Anybody? Bueller?
Please make it happen, I don't want to use the 2018 calendar for a third year :)
So is this calendar going to be dedicated to 1970 because it is the 50th anniversary? 6 1970 Challengers and 6 1970 Barracudas?
If so then 2021 could be dedicated to 1971, 2022 to 1972.......
I worked with Dave (ChallengerHK) on calendars and he organized a detailed post about the best specs for submitting photos for the calendar. The selection of the photos will take a good chunk of time before getting to the layout.
If needed, I can do the layout and supply a digital file. Most calendars ordered online drop the photo in a template and do not allow for much specialization.

I wonder if picture selection would be quicker if we asked for specific category entries ?
(1) 1970 AAR Cuda
(1) 1970 Rat box but complete Cuda Project car
(1) 1970 Modified resto-mod type Cuda
(1) 1970 Convertible Cuda

(1) 1970 Fully optioned show poodle Hemi Cuda
(1) 1970 T/A Challenger
(1) 1970 Rat box but complete Challenger Project car
(1) 1970 Modified resto-mod type Challenger
(1) 1970 Convertible Challenger
(1) 1970 Basic flat hood /6 type Challenger
(1) 1970 Fully optioned show poodle Challenger R/T
Just an idea....I can think of plenty of members cars to fill certain pages, and many that cross over two or more....however I think it could speed things up maybe ????
That's a good list. I like it.
I don't think a 1970 calendar is going to work, I think the last calendar we did . . didn't have that many submissions. To make is a 70 only will limit the number of pictures to choose from.
But i'm open to whatever . . . :drunk:
Well I can think of member's cars for almost all of those categories ...so even if you get one submission and it's a good quality picture...you won't have too worry about taking a poll or hurting people's feelings...etc...
I would also be in to purchase probably 2.
Only input I can help with is about file transfers.
I regularly send huuuge cad files thru wetranfer(dot)com.
This bypasses the normal provider limitations.
Under several gig you can send as only a guest without signing in to anything.
Upload and an email goes out with the link to download it.
Mike.
When Judy and Dave handled this over on c-c I used to buy a dozen or more for gifts. My main contact at Ford up in Dearborn would hang it in his office! So would my contacts at FCA. Was cool to see.
i would take 4 or 5 calendars. Gifts, office , home, garage etc
