Post by: ec_co on April 07, 2017, 04:49:31 PM
this was a pretty cool video to watch, a lot of similarities to the old production lines, but more robots

That is a cool video @ec_co!  Fascinating to watch but the robots creeped me out a bit, lol!  Maybe too many sci-fi movies as a kid?!

Very impressive! Thanks for sharing. One thing that surprised me was how quiet the robots are and coupled with their precise movement, it was a tad spooky too.

I worked with those robots for 18 years....you don't want to get in their way. Not very many humans in that video... :tired:

Really Thanks cool! What did you do programming?  I used to make tooling for them. One place I worked  made automation lines  had a skid full of center sections/rear subframes complete with the brembo brakes etc.... I tried in vain to offer to take them home after the project was completed but no dice....  :vipermanhiding: It was for the 300, Charger, Challenger at the Brampton plant.

I didn't work on the robots, I just worked with them, preloading their parts etc...
