Title: center link ...
Post by: Cuda416 on December 17, 2019, 12:47:30 PM
Anyone have the distance center to center of the holes on an e-body center link? I'm going to need to move my car soon and need to make something temporary to put in place of the missing center link so the wheels aren't flopping around.

@Cuda416 (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/cuda416_1784)   I just went out and pulled a tape from outer bolt to outer bolt.  24 5/8" plus or minus an 1/8 should be about the centers on the outer holes.

Hope that helps.  My car is a 72 challenger.

Do you have a pitman arm and idler arm in the car ? Otherwise it will still flop around  :dunno: If you're making a temporary straight bar to go across, best to go from lower ball joint to lower ball joint, get rid of the tie rods altogether

Thanks folks, it's been a long time since I've looked in the engine bay. I had forgotten the steering box (and pitman) had been removed so I'll just have to go all the way across.
