I'm painting my engine bay body color so I'm assuming these would be best to paint body color so they just blend in?
They didn't come with Fasteners so I'm assuming I just need a hook up some sort of Bolt & Nuts? I'll probably just use what's laying around in the garage because I don't need to spend more money at this point. Hahahahaha

I think they were originally black. I like the look of the factory correct black parts as it contrasts the body colors. When you paint too many things all the same color (body color) it can look cheap and like the painter didn't want to take the part off to do the paint properly. So my vote would be for black (unless they came a different color on later year E-Bodies). :alan2cents:
Okay that makes sense and sounds like a good idea. Toxic orange and black look awesome together.
As for the Fasteners would some simple Nuts and Bolts work as there's no threads to screw these puppies in?
I would have to double check, but I thought they were self tapping (no nut)? :notsure:
another vote for black & 5/16" head sheet metal screws from the wheel side

My vote is to use the correct fasteners everywhere, even if it cost a bit more. My car is all put together with "whats laying around the garage" , it's a mix of wood screws, drywall screws in the interior, metric bolts, everything you can think if, it's driving me nuts. I crawl under the car with the tool I know from experience are correct and find something completely different there.

Most hardware stores have a specialty bolt/fastener section. You can find some nice looking fasteners there that aren't 100% factory, but will look a lot nicer then a generic fastener.
Paint them black please, I like gloss black and the screws are hex head sheetmetal screws.

Agree.
I went body color as the high contrast will attract your eye to a boring part of the engine bay.
If you have a darker, B5, Plum Crazy, etc., black is fine. But the black on yellow was an eyesore to me....for a custom car.

If your using headers I would not use them. Unless your not using a hood.
Plus one for black. As Cody said, it makes it look more detailed in my opinion.
Boy they really are reproducing just about everything but roof braces now. I remember when these were hard to find.
