Title: Cost to dip a body?
Post by: gzig5 on March 19, 2020, 01:02:42 PM
What is a ballpark cost to dip a body to remove rust, paint, undercoat, and crud.  Let's say I deliver a stripped/disassembled body assy so there would be minimal prep work before it goes in the tank.

I realize that it needs to be primed within a reasonable amount of time, so add that separately if not included.

I just paid $2770 to dip mine.  I'll redip and ecoat it when all the welding is done and that will cost roughly the same.  Not cheap, but I don't want to deal with rust again at any point.  Pm me if you want more details.

Thought this was going to be about getting rid of someone you don't like into Lake Michigan.... :pokeeye:

Seriously though, I didn't even know you could get that service done?
