Title: ??Little screw that holds the hood pin lanyard to the body
Post by: Rutro on April 08, 2020, 07:40:57 AM
Are the 2 little screws used for the hood pin lanyard regular sheet metal screws? This is what I see in the kits
I have some screws (not sure where they came from) that have a shoulder that fits the lanyard end and allows the cable to swivel.
Help? which screw is factory correct. Thanks

At one point consoles had a cable with special screws that allowed the cable to swivel out of necessity, but ALL the hood pin cables I've come across just use a standard sheet metal screw :alan2cents:

My T/A and Bird both have fixed lanyards, with the sheet metal screw. As for the finish, who knows? My current and former bird had polished screws, the T/A appears to be the black phosphate type.
