Title: Aluminum Hemi
Post by: Tunis on April 21, 2017, 05:29:42 AM
Hi all,

Just wanted to know if anyone knows a reputable engine builder that could build a 472 aluminum short block? I know, a 572 is probably the same price, but that seems to me like more torque than is needed for anything but drag racing. Or am I wrong? Seems like most just build with 4.5" bore when going aluminium block.

Thanks for any help!

Tim Banning at FHO. I have been dealing with him for about 15 years now and his work is more like art. You won't be disappointed and you only have to do things once with him. He's a friendly guy, great quality and totally honest.

Watch up with shortblocks, if they build them to short you will end up with a V6.

Are there any fees to pay if you import a motor from Canada to USA.

Most of the parts are US made o they are returning home so fees should be minimal .
