Title: Door handles
Post by: dodj on June 06, 2020, 06:21:05 AM
I noticed my exterior door handles are a little bent and on an angle. I figure they are halfway to breaking, I guess, and thought I should get a couple replacements staged in the garage for a rainy day project.
Are all the Challenger door handles out there the same or do some suppliers have a better product?

The exterior door handles should have a bend to them.  Cuda and Challenger each bend opposite ways to follow the body of the car.

Dales Cuda Shop I believe are the only ones making the correct curved Challenger door handles, although, it's thought that by 73-74 both the E Bodies were just using the same flat handles.

Check with our sponsor Roseville Moparts to see if they carry DCS handles :alan2cents:

Checked the Roseville site and they have the different contour handles for the cuda and Challenger.
Thanks Cody, Al

I'll order them up but I don't know how long it will take to get through the border nowadays.  ::)

Hmmm..now to remember the roseville p/w..

I'll let you know after they are in my hands and all the shipping and border charges are added up.  :tired:

I live about 40km from the Minnesota border and prior to the border closing I would get parts sent to a parcel business on the US side and import the parts myself. Cheap and easy. I'd fill up the truck when I was there and save on some gas dollars. Now I'm experiencing how expensive shipping across the border is. Holy crap!
Feel for you guys that are too far from the border to drive there. :bigmoney:

Ended up being about $210 cdn all in.  :bigthumb:
Got an email that they applied my Ebodies forum discount and everything.

The handles look great. They have the correct contouring for the Challenger door and the plating looks very nice. You can really see the difference up against my 'flat' door handles. The packaging is marked DCS so I'm guessing that would be Dale's cuda shop?
So if you are looking for excellent door handles, call Roseville IMO.

Quotethought that by 73-74 both the E Bodies were just using the same flat handles.

There are three different styles of E-body door handles.  Concave(Challenger) convex(Cuda) and flat(fits both).  IIRC it was sometime during 71 production that the handles were standardized.  I know there was a thread on Moparts years ago about this.
