Title: 8 3/4 axle end play adjuster
Post by: kmiller on August 12, 2020, 02:08:52 PM
in the process of rebuilding my 8 3/4 and noticed it is missing the end play adjuster.  My understanding is that is needed if I go with the stock tapered bearing setup or I go with Green bearings and not worry about it.  I 've read both good and bad with the GB set up. This is for a pretty much stock rebuilt daily driver.  but my problem is that i cant find the adjuster anywhere. Does anyone sell them?

Thanks

Dr. Diff sells one.

Yes, you could move to green bearings and not need the adjusters. If you do that, you also have to remove the "thrust button" from the 3rd member. There are few benefits of going to green bearings, other than most aftermarket rear disc brake setups require them

Here are the parts you will need for standard axle retainers and will need outer seals for in the retainers.
