Title: 1970 Barracuda Roof section.
Post by: 2fastinthepast on May 07, 2017, 12:39:55 PM
Someone put a sunroof in my car back in the day. My body guy says I just need the sheet metal panel where the sunroof is. Anyone?

Alan's method will save a bunch of time welding, grinding, filling, sanding.

I was really hoping to get one off a parts car. My body guy insists its better to just get a panel slightly larger than the sunroof and he can make it look like it never happened. I would hate to buy the whole roof section just to throw most of it away.

IF it was a vinyl roof car, i might be tempted to just do a patch, but on a painted roof, trying to get the flat replacement metal to conform to the existing roof curve may be a problem. With that in mind, I have to go along with full roof replacement.  :alan2cents:
