1970 Elastomeric Bumper Paint Stripper?
My 1970 Elastomeric bumpers got a repaint in the 1980s and are in really bad condition with paint splitting and cracking crazing and some peel. I tried removing the paint carefully with a blade but its taking forever.
Is the a safe paint stripper I can use or alternate method to remove 2 coats of paint? Its quite brittle.
Thanks guys

Media blasting or sanding by hand. I wouldn't use any chemicals on it.

Media blasting safe? It won't damage the "plastic covering" under the paint/primer? Have you done it?
Thanks Steve

Plastic covering ?  Not sure there is "plastic covering" on Elastomeric bumpers.

You'll be fine with a light media blasting. :bigthumb:
