On my 71 I dont have a cable release.  Only a manual release on the grill (that sits recessed in a cut out on the grill) that pops the the hood up about an inch, and then you go under the front edge of the hood to release the hood all the way

Was the inside cable release an option in 1971 on the E Bodies ?

I believe the option code was J52 but I'm not sure if it was available on 70-71 E Bodies  :thinking:  I guess Dan would know for sure  :notsure:

I have a copy of a 1971 Barracuda coding guide, and it is not listed as an option. However, the coding guides are usually dated, and they then get updated, but this one is undated, so who the heck knows.
