Title: frame dimensions 70 challenger
Post by: regmnstr on October 04, 2020, 04:38:21 PM
I have a 70 challenger that I am putting on frame table, I have the dimensions from the service manual, and I also have from a 73 challenger, my question can I use the 73 because it shows the datum line and has a explination of many points. also does any member have any other diagrams of the frame dimensions that would be useful.  I am replacing floor, firewall, torsion bar crossmember, frame rails and inner fenderwells and I want them right.[facebook][/facebook]

Yes, the major points are the same. You don't buy replacement frame rails based on the year. They are all the same, k-frames fit all e-bodies, etc. The difference between Cuda's and Challengers is the 2" difference in the rear foot well. Other than that, all challengers measure the same, and all cudas measure the same.

If I'm wrong, someone will surely make me look foolish (not too hard) with all of the expertise here.
