At the risk of this being a waste of time, thought I would at least put it out there that I am once again looking for another 340. Oh, and a SureGrip rearend while I am at it!
I may consider a 360 as opposed to the 340.
Let me know what you have or what you find.
Thanks all.
I have a rebuilt 1970 small block 727 trans if you need.
I have a 71 340 block if you are interested. Block casting 1-19-71. Have the crank, rods, block, windage tray and balancer. No heads.
Here's an add from Seattle Craigslist if you are up for putting in some roofing labor for trade.

Cody, out of curiousity- what's the VIN on it?
The vin on the 71 340 is 1B369307
It's time....
I have a complete 70 long block in storage for several years. I'm reaching the realization that I will probably never use it.
If you're serious pm me and I can get you more data.
Block Vin is 0R213348.
Block was cast on 11 19 69 on the 3rd hour of the day shift.
Engine assembly appears to be F 340P31120143.
Heads I believe are 71 J type 341989156 cast date 3491.
Got pictures of it all. I believe it's for an A body.
