Title: 1970 Challenger RT 383 FY1 4 Speed
Post by: Cuda Cody on May 15, 2017, 12:52:59 PM
Bought a couple 440 Blocks from a guy at the Portland Swap meet in April and he must have kept my number because today I get a call from him.  He's at his friends in Montana and says he has a 1970 Challenger RT 383 FY1 4 Speed project that he's thinking of selling.  Asked if I could tell him about what it would be worth.  No engine, but the original numbers trans is there.  I'm trying to get better photos, but from these it doesn't look to be a rust bucket.  It was repainted in the 80's.  @Chippa (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/chippa_369)   and  @JustinHEMI (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/justinhemi_400)

What is a project like this worth?  Is $12,000 close?

I would think 12-15k, more if solid body, less if more than the typical rust.  :dunno:

Have seen a couple Montana cars that were pretty clean rust wise, hopefully this one is no different.  I would think $12,000 is fair.  And you have a 440 for it!

   What would 3rd member be typically for this car @Cuda Cody (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/cuda-cody_1)  ?? I'm interested to learn a little more....minimum rust is going to be a big plus for me....hopefully he can provide some more pics possibly

Looks like I was a little late finding out about it.  He just told me this morning about it and now it's already sold.  Someone gave him the $12,000 for it what I heard.

I'll keep my eyes open for ya still.   :bigthumb:

Fair deal for both parties I think.
