Title: What goes along the inside of the gas filler tube
Post by: chaps70rt on November 30, 2020, 10:52:53 AM
I'm still trying to complete my 70 Challenger Resto.   While finishing off the gas cap area and flip top, I noticed that there appears to be
a missing gasket between the filler tube and the rear quarter.   Is this typically sealed with a caulking/sealant or is there a gasket
that should go where these two meet along the back / inside of the quarter panel?

If it is a missing gasket, where can I purchase?  Or, what type of sealant should be used ..... car is bright white.

Thanks!!

I just made my own gasket from some scrap white foam.  That saved having to order 1 gasket and pay for shipping.
