Title: Brake Booster
Post by: Car-nutt on November 30, 2020, 12:08:53 PM
Hello everyone, I am wondering if anyone has gone through this. I had my master cylinder rebuilt. Once I stalled it and bled the system I noticed it was leaking from the top. I tried taking some fluid out but it continues to leak. Has this happened to anyone else if so what is the fix.

1. Check gasket
2. Check sealing surface of master.(is the surface pitted or smooth)
3. Check tension of spring holding the lid on.

I have had this happen also. check the seal on the inside of the lid to make sure it reaches the edge of the cap.  Sometimes the seal has shrunk and this leaves a gap.  You may need to file the top of the cylinder in case there's pitting.
