Title: TA spoiler mounting
Post by: Rdchallenger on December 09, 2020, 04:21:52 PM
Would anyone happen to have the measurements or a diagram of where I cut on the underside of my trunk lid to mount a TA spoiler?

Thanks in advance!

This might be useful.  I think Roseville carries it too, but I can't get think to open.

Here's a useful post:

Those are both very useful but I'm meaning that actual squares that are cut on the underside of the trunk lid. Since I have a '73 there are no cut outs.

I have a 73 as well. I positioned the spoiler where I liked it and marked the top of the lid. Then I installed a long drill bit and drilled all the way through both layers of steel. Then with a burr I opened up the underside holes.

Those plastic templates are the way to go. I have the Cuda version. They locate the position of the 4 holes and the size to cut them out, just trace on the underside of the trunk lid.

Not that difficult to cut holes. The holes I cut are ~1-1/2" square. Used the spoiler studs to make template to locate center of holes to cut. Used a Dremel tool with EZ Lock metal cutting discs #EZ456.
