Title: Interesting tidbit of Chrysler history
Post by: blown motor on December 27, 2020, 02:17:51 PM
I bought a couple more Chryco cans today for my collection. One of them was Gum and Sludge Remover. It's a tin can that has been covered over with a paper label. The difference in the labelling is that the paper label has the contents in both imperial and metric, there is a danger warning on the front and the product name is in both French and English. The metal can does have French on the back only. So it appears that Chrysler Canada had to relabel products to meet the labelling requirements of the day and put a paper label on existing stock.
If anyone knows any more about this I'd love to hear it. @jimynick (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/jimynick_55) do you know anything? Oh what am I saying!  :pokeeye:

OHH! Sharper than a serpent's tooth! Pour about 2 ozs of that in your left ear ya old farmer, it'll help clear your gummed up brain.  :))

Years ago in Granby Quebec, I bought a case of 12 of these with French and English script.
I have seen and owned others in both languages,... some of what I have left.

Also have an NOS embossed lettered sign.
