Title: 1970 Cuda alternator and battery question
Post by: jlemler on May 22, 2017, 06:59:40 AM
I have a 1970 Cuda with the A31 and overhead console option.  Its a 383 I am wondering what Amp and what battery group this would have come with?

Thanks,
Jeff

This should give you an idea of the options that each could come with.  I'm not sure if any options required the optional alternator.   :notsure:

S = Standard
E = Optional Equipment

1970 383 'cuda came STANDARD with a Group 24 59 amp battery

A31 - 3.91 axle package had nothing to do with battery requirement/specs.
C26 overhead console was part of the leather interior

~3% of '70 340/383 'cudas were OPTIONED with the larger Group 27 70 amp battery
