Title: Good article on 8 3/4 rear end
Post by: headejm on January 22, 2021, 08:45:50 AM
This is a well written article on the 8 3/4 rear end from Mopar Connection on-line magazine written by Kent Will. I have read several good articles on this site and everyone should consider subscribing.

Very informative, especially since I'm a short bus passenger when it comes to differentials. I'd love to tackle mine when the time comes. 10 years of prior machinist skills to utilize. It's supposed to be a 3.23, although it's currently a 3.91. I'd like to go back to a 3.23 yet cheat a bit and go sure grip instead of the one legger called out on the build sheet. I'm a bit apprehensive.

With your machinist background, I hope yours skills at rebuilding a differential are better than mine.  I tried and failed.   Had to pay a professional to do it correctly.
